THE GAMBIAN OPPOSITION PARTIES SELECT COALITION CANDIDATE 2016

THE GAMBIA WON.

Congratulations to Seven of the Gambian Opposition Parties (Gambia Moral Congress, Gambia People's Democratic Party, National Convention Party, National Reconciliation Party, People's Democratic Party for Independence and Socialism, People's Progressive Party, United Democratic Party) and Civil Society Groups for a milestone achievement today. The October 30 Convention was a success. 50, year old, new entrant gets the nod. The amount of compromise and cooperation amidst mutual respect between these parties is commendable. The humility and content in the concession/support speeches of the contesting candidates, with the assurance of support and faith in the process and the candidate is very encouraging. Evidently, your differences are not as big and important than what you have in common.

Special appreciation to the Mother and Inspiration of our country and struggle, Mrs Aja Fatoumatta Jallow-Tambajang. You have no match! The Gambia and Gambians Owe YOU! You did not lobby for the respect you've earned.

Gambians, this is what you'd demanded, and the politicians delivered. They've taken
Care of 35% of the work. The 65% left is YOU the voters'. GO HOME AND VOTE AGAINST YAYA AND APRC, for your Future!

Congratulations to Adama Barrow, the duly elected candidate entrusted to bear the flag for the Coalition for change 2016. Your promise to unite and lead Gambians into the Third Republic was solid and has been heard.

#Remember: Adama Barrow is UNITY CANDIDATE. He's NOT a UDP candidate. Colleagues and the delegates entrusted him to lead Gambians going into December 2016. The results of the Seven-Party convention is reflective of that:

Halifa Sallah 65
Bolonding 40
Hamat Bah 72
Adama Barrow 308
Invalid vote 2

Congratulations, #GAMBIA!

The end
